Landed about 90 minutes ago and am off to Puerto Rico in about nine hours, but thought I'd post a link to the photos from Thursday night.
The lines were atrocious, though once we left our first choice, we found a sneaky way in and finally found our seats around the time Stevie Wonder performed.
Will try to catch up with the video and the blog on or after vacation.

Biff and Bill
Thursday was Biff Day. Biff held court in the main lobby of the Pepsi Center, Late Show crew tagging along. His producer sizes me up and asks if I want to go on camera with Biff for the show. Sadly, I declined.

And if Tuesday was Biff Day, Wednesday was Bill Day. The president gave one helluva speech. Still has the touch!

Photos, photos. Lots and lots of photos
This photo album will be growing as soon as I can get connected to reasonably fast service. All the police photos already have several hits each, other photos zero. Gotta love police monitoring!

Almost ready...
Sunday saw protests in the early afternoon. Anti-war joined by the anarchists joined by one sole Nader supporter. Nice company. For all you fans of Politico repoter Amie Parnes, you'll enjoy this one.
Take a look at the floor
The floor of the Pepsi Center is pretty snazzy. The background of the podium shoots up to the ceiling, curving up and around. Nifty. CNN is anchoring from the floor amid lots of bustle. It's a pretty damn good looking floor.

Convention kicks off tomorrow.
Busted!
So I'm collecting different kinds of photos for future posts, but these three have a nice little story. On Saturday, before I headed to the Convention Center for orientation, I was snapping some photos. Cops were everywhere, decked out in armor, three-foot batons, pepper spray, zip ties...the works. So of course I snapped a few shots of them.
They didn't like that. Maybe not used to attention here in Denver. This was the photo that really seemed to piss them off.
So a group of about a dozen cops starts to follow me. When I realized they were hunting me--the most dangerous game--I of course stopped to snap more photos. I'm ornery.
They didn't like that either. Three of them surrounded me (OK, surrounded sounds dire, the girl cop was smiling), asked for credentials, inquired if my congressional ID was REALLY me, jotted down my name, even asked for my birthday.
Think they're gonna send me a gift?

First look at the Pepsi Center
This video was ready last night, but YouTube was giving me grief. No photos posted yet as I forgot my USB cord. Will go pick one up today. Already harassed by the Denver Police.
